Back in February, Dutch designer Daniëlle Cathari took over New York Fashion Week with an adidas Originals collaboration. With the likes of Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin donning her reconstructed tracksuits, it wasn’t surprising to see how quickly the collection sold out.

Now, Cathari is back with a second drop. Much more summer-focused, the new range consists of ten pieces. Proving that the 90s trend is here to stay, the designer has created matching sets of bra tops and parachute pants in bold shades of blue and white.

Print-heavy pieces come in the form of a jacket, sweatshirt and skirt while a knitted lemon yellow T-shirt and shorts provide a less in-your-face touch. A long-sleeved dress also appears, designed in a peach hue and accessorized with cord detailing.

Naturally, each piece includes Cathari’s innovative take on the iconic three stripes. The collection will be available to buy from May 5 at adidas.com and at adidas Originals flagship stores worldwide.

Cathari is the latest in a long line of designers to rework retro sportswear. The budding talent started without adidas’ permission, freshening up tracksuits for a school project and subsequent VFILES show in 2017. Instead of threatening legal action, the sports giant decided to team up.

It’s not clear whether the pair’s collaboration ends, so be ready on May 5.
