No other luxury brand boasts a logo that was created in less than five seconds. With its roots in the small leather goods and fur industry, Fendi’s international takeover came when creative director Karl Lagerfeld quickly sketched the famous double-F logo in 1965 and subsequently threw it on every garment and accessory he could get his hands on. The Zucca print (as the monogram pattern is officially known) first took over in the ‘80s and continues to dominate modern fashion today: It was shaved into the head of Kanye West, received a well-deserved comeback in the Italian label’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection and is consistently worn by the Kardashians, the Hadids and Instagram influencers worldwide. The luxury powerhouse is also responsible for the world’s first It bag: the Baguette. Designed in 1997 by Silvia Venturina Fendi, the Baguette (so-called for how it mimics the way a baguette was traditionally carried in France) is perhaps best recognized for its appearance alongside Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw. Over 1000 different designs now exist with vintage gems regularly frequenting Heroine. From fluffy keychains to printed tees, the best affordable Fendi pieces can be found right here on Heroine.
